Finally, I was able to review the amazing sigma makeup brushes I received a couple weeks ago…

They are simply incredible. The quality of these brushes is just out of this world. We all know how great MAC brushes are but we also know how pricey they are as well. I myself do not have all the MAC brushes but I have a few. They are great quality and get the job done right.

Now, these sigma brushes you’ve heard of from many gurus on YouTube are either comparable to MAC or better. Yes, I said better! Double Rainbow!

Hey guys,
So as I battled through 5 hours of traffic yesterday (-_-) in the pouring rain, my wonderful boyfriend and I saw this beautiful sight! I have never seen 2 rainbows in my entire life. We drove all over the world and back yesterday and we were finally in Downtown LA. The pouring rain was finally easing up and the clouds finally drifted away, the sun started to shine bright. My beautiful LA sky started to turn back to its gorgeous blue color. Once I saw that, all was well in the hood (literally lol).

Any who, I just wanted to share the pretty rainbows I saw!

I filmed a sigma makeup brush review today so I shall edit that tonight and hope to post it right after. I can’t tell you enough how much I love the brushes. They are honestly comparable or even better than MAC! The quality of the brushes is just unbelievable. They are worth every penny and more some. I highly recommend them!

Hmm, while I am sharing about an upcoming video I might as well post what’s coming up soon now that my camera is fixed. *woohoo*

I'm still waiting for my camera to be fixed. Hopefully it is ready by the 9th like they said. Ughhh I hate waiting for repairs. They seem like they take forever.

REVIEW: Hard Candy

So as I walk through the cosmetic aisles of Walmart, this brand called Hard Candy caught my eye. I have never heard of it or seen it so I decided to try at least something out from the line.

I grabbed the concealer palette because I’m a concealer nut and it had so many choices in the palette for $6. Too bad it sucked. It was too creamy and it felt like lotion with some little color. I was very disappointed in the brand but I only tried one product they offer. If you have any suggestions I’ll try them out and maybe it’s my new favorite brand.

So... ugh I hate to say this but the sponsor for the give away just pulled out.

ok ok.. so ive been working hard for you guys lately. i want to come back with videos that you guys are gonna love and be excited to see new products. one way i know i can do that is by holding a give away. NOT a contest.

old brush, new use!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
now 2009 was an ok year for me. i met the most amazing man ever and i transferred to a Cal State but the rest of the year sucked. you can read about it in an older post if youd like to hear more. lets hope this new year is AMAZING. i hope for this year to bring us all health, happiness and a boom in the economy lol.

ok now that we got the new years cheer out of the way :P time to get down to some bloggin today.

well, for new years eve i was able to freelance again. OH HOW IVE MISSED FREELANCING! lol. first off i met up with my beautiful cousin annjanett and did a soft tan smokey eye. she has small eye space and doesnt wear makeup often so i didnt want to over power her beautiful green eyes. after i finished up with annjanett, i drove to my next appointment. my beautiful friend mayra!

mayra has my favorite lid space and eye shape. she isnt afraid of color and heavy smokey eyes. her dress was all black with a zipper, umm can you say SILVER AND BLACK. we went dark on her eyes for that super dramatic eye and to finish it off i gave her that "bro hoe" look. smokey eye with soft pink lips lol.

HERES WHERE I FINALLY GET TO MY REASON FOR BLOGGING!!!!

when i applied her lipstick i didnt use a lip brush. I HATE LIP BRUSHES WITH A PASSION! theyre always gunky and sticky and just nasty. the only time i wish i had a lip brush is when i use red lipstick but come on, when the heck do i use red lipstick? lol almost never, duh!

so i grabbed my synthetic concealer shading brush from coastal scents (http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/1490_37/synthetic-concealer-shading-brush.cfm). ive had this brush for about a year now and never really used it. its bigger than the 239 and it worked PERFECT for applying lipstick and lip gloss. the brush held color great and applied the products perfectly. and to wash it, it was a sinch. i just used some dawn dish soap and it was clean as a whistle in a few seconds.

hey there
as i sit in my room watching comedy central and Louis sleeping next to me, i feel such an urge to get back into my hobbies that brought me joy. its been almost a year since ive posted a new video on youtube. i cant begin to tell you how many times ive caught myself thinking about posting a new video.

these last 9 months i have constantly been doing something stressful. if it wasnt some huge project at school it was closing shifts at work. if it wasnt work then it was just trying to breathe and spending time with family, friends and my wonderful bf. i never had more than one day off from my hectic schedule. when i would have a day off i would sleep till 3pm because i was constantly exhausted. i gained weight, always looked tired, never wore makeup and wore sweats out side of work.

all this has changed! i quit work and finished the semester at school. these last 2 weeks have been such bliss. i cant begin to tell you how happy my heart and mind is. it feels like i am 17 all over again. ive been getting back in making cards, putting on makeup and wearing clothes that arent yoga pants and some random tshirt. lol.

this all hit me a week ago when i was having tea time with a good friend of mine (yes, im newly obsessed with tea and have tea time OFTEN haha). we were just sitting at her table, talking, laughing, making the most random jokes and thats when i laughed my REAL laugh. the one that sounds completely different from your everyday laugh. the one that starts in the bottom of your belly and just feels really good. that very moment i felt like my old self. i was finally happy after being suppressed for so long.

ever since then, ive been much happier in general. im losing weight and im constantly cleaning out my room. when i was busy i didnt realize how cluttered my room was. i cant begin to tell you how much scrapbooking items i threw out last night. it feels good looking at my room nice and organized again. soon my dad will tear my room apart to remodel it so im enjoying my last moments in here.

sorry this post is so long.. i just wanted to let you guys know exactly where ive been. i plan on getting back into making videos but my computer is crap. i want to buy a new macbook but its hard when youre unemployed lol. ill figure things out, i always do.

so, a couple years ago, i was on Queen Of Blendings myspace. (if you have no idea who she is, youtube her. SHE IS AMAZING!!!) ok back to the post lol. so she mentioned buying her business cards from vistaprint and how they are usually free. i didnt believe it at first but i signed up for their newsletters and little did i know my email was bombarded with FREE offers on so many things within a few days. i was so estatic to finally order some business cards for my Freelancing gig i would do. it just made me look more professional and it was also helpful in my MAC PRO card application.

WWW.VISTAPRINT.COM is honestly, a great site for starting up your business. its cheap or free. shipping is ok but at least youre getting a good deal on your purchase.

i must say one thing about the site though, when you put your order through THAT'S IT!! there's no changing it. it happened to me once lol i hope it never happens again.

so i went a little crazy at the tiffanys store and mac. i decided to get some new brushes i had been eyeing for long time. i said to myself, school is starting soon and i just paid $600 in tickets so fuck it... im gonna splurge in MAC. glad i did lol.

so, well.... this brush isnt a necessity but its a nice bursh. i do like how it glides so nicely over my lid. making the angled eyeliner look is an easy breeze as well. for almost $20 bucks, its not a must have brush, but im still happy with the purchase lol.

NEW The Colossal Volum' Express® Mascara

hmm, i couldn't help myself from checking out a new mascara since i always need a new tube. i am a huge mascara skank lol. i can never get enough. anyways, after watching the commercials, i finally decided to pick up a tube.

i was pleasantly surprised at first. did clump a little after apply it 3 times or more. no real big problem to me. then through out the day, HELL. lol. not only would i find little bits of mascara on my face and cheek bones every one would tell me about them magically appearing. lol.

its an OK mascara, it doesn't run if you randomly are thrown in a pool but those mascara flakes left on my face were just killing me.

hey hey hey

how are all my beautiful subbies? i have missed you guys so much. i have been insanely busy with so many things in life i have neglected everything i get joy from, which includes you guys. i used to play with my makeup at least 5 times a week, now i just let it sit in my drawers. i used to take trips to mac to buy up anything and everything that caught my eye, now i just go in to get the necessities like concealer and powder lol. i used to make cards all the time for hours at a time. now, i just let all my crafts sit on my desk collecting dust.

youtube used to be on the very top of my priority list when i would get free time. now its been moved to the bottom of the list with all my other hobbies because i need to catch up on my sleep. unfortunately, i have been working non-stop around the clock just to pay for all my stuff.

aside for all my regular bills i have monthly; i am in the process of eliminating the little debt i have in the next two months all while saving up for school next semester. life sucks being an adult, (lol)but thats just how life is.

well, my loves... i must get going. i have work in a little. i need to get ready for that. BLAH.

Review Of Sculpt and Shape

plain and simple, im not a fan of the sculpt and shade foundation. keep reading to see why.

well, a couple of months ago i tried the new gel like foundation formula from MAC.

at first, i fell in love with the packaging. i rather have a squeeze tube than a glass jar like the studio fix fluid since i can really get every last bit of product. no product is wasted in a squeeze tube.

i asked a MUA (makeup artist) to match me for the right foundation. once again i wasnt matched right. i told her i needed a lighter shade but she insisted on me getting the shade she chose. she said it looks lighter in natural light (bull shit!). whatever, i bought it and saw how dark it was. either way i wore it and put it on my neck to kinda match hahaha just to see if i loved the new foundation or not.

WORD TO THE WISE: this new formula is a shade or two darker than all the other foundations MAC sells. so if youre a NC 40 in studio fix fluid, youre in the high NC 30s.

i noticed i just needed a dime size to cover my face since its such a heavy coverage. i like heavy coverage but not for everyday. it truly felt like a pound of grease was on my face.

i wasnt sold on the product and returned it after trying to fall in love with it for a couple weeks. no luck. i know many people who just adore this new formula of foundation but i just couldnt live with it.

hey there
it has been way too long since ive updated this so i thought now is the time to share what ive been up to.

as we all know, the economy is in the shits and finding a job is harder than ever. i have picked up on the nanny job again, but since im not making nearly as much as i used to i found a second job. its my first REAL job ever. lol. by real i mean, clocking in and out kind of a job hahaha. i work at the local victoria secret. thankfully being able to speak spanish and my knowledge with makeup i was hired for the beauty section. i couldnt be more ecstatic to have another job. i finally completed my training and i noticed i rather work the register since its at a faster pace but makeup is still dear to my heart and i can sell that stuff like candy. haha.

heyyyyy there.

the other day i got a wonderful package in the mail. i finally got my hands on some coastalscents.com palettes and i must say i am in love.

i always say people on youtube and different blogs raving about the color pay off. so i figured, for $20 something dollars, i would have every single color and my videos will have products that a lot of my subscribers/viewers own or can easily purchase since mac can add up quickly.

UGH. lol. thennnnn i got a huge paper cut on my middle finger. THENNNNN i couldnt find parking for class on time and i came in late. now im bored as hell in class. BLAH.

so i was asked to make some cards for a lovely youtube gal and i sat down and i couldnt help but make valentine day cards. lol. she didnt ask for vday ones but for some reason i was really inclined to make them. i really love how they all came out. some are super simple and others have so much embellishment on them its over done on the bottom but simple on the top, it makes sense for me. lol.

so i headed over to mac the other day and i couldnt help but buy a couple things.
i purchased the 226 brush ITS DELICIOUS lol. i truly love this brush on people who have smaller eye space and i need to blend their eyeshadow.

so delish i can eat it. kidding. i also got the mineralized skin finish from the redhead collection. talk about being in love.

ill be going back for the the other 2 brushes (#165 and the #214) since my aunt gave me a mac gift card. gotta love those aunts lol.

the #165 brush is AMAZING for highlighting. i cant wait to get my little MAC loving fingers on it. lol. as for the small smudger brush (#214), im not that excited about it. i noticed i would draw a line of pencil eyeliner, then use the brush and it would smudge the eyeliner ok, but take away a lot of the color. i hope i can find a good reason to use it. lol. i think ill pass on buying it for now since it will become permanent at MAC stores.

wow, side note! specktra.net's site is SO MUCH BETTER NOW! i love the new layout. its so much easier to navigate.

wow, i cant believe its 2009. 2008 just flew by for me.

2008 was a crummy financial year but hey, i still am very healthy and God blesses me everyday with many amazing things so i cant complain too much.

is it just me, or is everyone finding it hard to form complete sentences this afternoon? haha i didnt even get wasted last night but im having trouble with typing out what id like to say. ahhhh stupid holidays, thank God theyre over! time to work out and get skinny again.

so i am immensely addicted to blogs and i thought to myself at almost 2 am on a Tuesday morning, why dont i start one? lol
